Chanel Rouge Coco in 'Romy'. Question for you Chanel lipstick lovers out there: have you had much luck wearing a bright color in the Rouge Coco formula? I've only worn nudes or maybe deep rose so far from that line, and while this looked good at the Nordstrom's, I wore it the other day and found it just crept right off my bottom lip and generally didn't wear well after about an hour. I took her back tonight in exchange for a fabulous nudey-pink Rouge Coco Shine (stay tuned it's soooo good). But seriously: any suggestions for good brights from this line? My guess is you have to start at the Rouge Allure line to really get good impact. Lemme know in the comments! 🤔😘
Bobbi Brown Pink Punch
Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip in 'Pink Punch'. Hmm. I'm on the fence with this one. It looks great, but it's such a pain in the ass to put on. What's wrong with just normal lipstick? Now all of a sudden we have to squirt and smear goo all over a plastic spatula and then delicately dab it on our lips for 20 minutes in hopes of a somewhat precise application? Really? I dunno. Yeah, I think this one's going back to Sephora tomorrow. Which begs the question, especially in light of the 15% off VIB sale still in progress: what is your favorite normal-just-out-of-the-bullet-thanks lipstick from Bobbi? Look forward to your comments, thanks! @christireynoldsbeauty, you start!
MAC Fanfare
MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in 'Fanfare'. Not to rain on MAC's parade or anything, but this one is really frustrating to wear, which doesn't make any sense, since it's the same formulation (and almost the same shade?) as 'Crosswires', which I love. This one gets trapped in my lip lines, creases, wants to be sheer and creamy at the same time, and just basically acts annoying all day. The only nice thing I can say about this is that I bought it on a lovely trip with the hubs to NYC. But otherwise, 👎.
